Cisco Partners With Riot Games to Power League of Legends

Riot Games has announced a multi-year deal to make Cisco the official networking partner for League of Legends Esports. Cisco’s network infrastructure will be installed at remote broadcast centers being built across all 12 global regions where Riot has established League of Legends esports leagues.

The deal closed in time for this year’s League of Legends World Championship, which will be played from Sept. 25 to Oct. 31s in Shanghai.

According to Cisco, the company’s servers will reduce gameplay lag (also known as ping in the gaming community) to below 1 millisecond for League of Legends esports players.
