COMMACK, NY — DreamSeat LLC, a Commack-based custom logo furniture store, and its affiliates, Zipchair and Zipchair Gaming, will become the official chair supplier of Overwatch League, the company announced Monday.

The Zipchair Gaming brand will be the official chair of the the major eSport league for the 2019 Overwatch League postseason and for the 2020 season.

Overwatch is an internationally-popular online first-person shooter that pits two teams against one another to complete various in-game objectives and is played on PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. The memorable characters, as well as fast-paced game-play, have made Overwatch well-known around the world.

That’s reflected within Overwatch League itself, as it’s comprised by city-based teams across North America, Europe and Asia.

The partnership includes the license to sell chairs sporting official Overwatch League team logos, and the chairs will be available at the official Overwatch League Shop and on Zipchairgaming.com, the online retail store for DreamSeat.

Overwatch League players will be using the Xpression gaming chairs for the rest of the season, as well as the upcoming one. Players’ team logos will be represented on the chairs.

Chandler Suprina, vice president of business development at DreamSeat, noted that professional sports organizations use the products, which encouraged the company to enter the eSports market.

“DreamSeat has a been working hand in hand with professional leagues for many years, and the Overwatch League embodies why we all love competitive entertainment,” Suprina stated via press release. “The spectator experience is as much a part of the appeal as is the product on the field. DreamSeat products are used in every professional sports locker room, stadium, and suites—so teaming up with the Overwatch League in the esports arena is a natural progression.”

Suprina is excited for the opportunity to reach an entire new market of fans, and said DreamSeat is working with Overwatch League to provide chairs for stadium seating, suites and VIP sections for the 2020 season.

“Partnering with DreamSeat allows us to brand our on-stage chairs for each team, without having a different set of chairs for every one of our teams,” said Anthony Theoharis, director of global
partnerships at Activision Blizzard Esports. “We’re excited to be working with a company that shares our passion for professional sports and for the Overwatch League brand. We’re pleased to be able to provide a way for our fans to purchase the exact same chair the Overwatch League professionals compete in.”
